Beijing North
Star Company Limited (“BNS” or the “Company”) was established by
its sole promoter, Beijing North Star Industrial ("BNS Group Company"), in Beijing,
the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”) on 2 April 1997. Its registered
capital is RMB1,867,020,000 divided into 1,867,020,000 shares of
RMB1.00 each, of which ,160,000,000 shares (62.131%) are domestic
shares held by BNS Group Company and 707,020,000
shares (37.869%) are H shares. The H shares were issued by BNS in
May 1997 and since then, have been listed on The Stock Exchange
of Hong Kong Limited. In July 1998, BNS was converted into a sino-foreign
joint stock limited company upon approval by the relevant PRC government
authority.
BNS is mainly engaged in property investment and development and
the related commercial operations. Property investment consists
of leasing, operating and managing of various properties in the
financial and commercial area of the Asian Games Village. Investment
properties of BNS include Crowne Plaza Park View Wuzhou Beijing,Beijing Continental Grand Hotel, International
Convention Centre, Hui Yuan Apartment, Hui Yuan International Apartment,
Hui Bin Offices and Hui Xin Offices. As for property development,
it consists of the development and sales of houses, apartments,
villas and offices for different market segments with different
features. The major development properties of BNS include Green
Garden, Jiang Zhuang Hu Villas, Changdao Lanqiao, Hui Xin
Apartment, Hui Xin Offices and Kerrie Plaza. The ancillary properties
operations include the operation of Bei Chen Shopping Centre. However,
it will soon expand to the development planning of the shopping
arcade in the central area of the Asia Games Village and the operation
of the shopping centre in Bei Chen Building. |
